Venue agreement

Venue terms.

These terms apply between Halfseat Limited (company number 17489702, registered in England and Wales, registered office Suite 6, The Workshop, Wharf Road, Eastbourne, East Sussex BN21 3FG) and your venue from the moment you accept them. Version 2026-10-22. We will tell you by email before any change takes effect.

1What Halfseat does

Halfseat lists tables you choose to release, takes a booking fee from the diner, and sends the diner to you. You set which tables are released and when. You can stop releasing tables at any time. There is no minimum term, and you can leave at any time by emailing us.

The diner saving applies to the food bill only. Drinks are charged at your full price. You keep your drinks margin and whatever the diner spends at your table.

2Booking details

For each booking we pass you what you need to seat the guest: their name, party size, phone number if they gave one, and any notes they left. Use these to prepare for and serve that booking, keep them secure, and do not pass them to anyone else.

If you would like to keep notes on guests for next time, or contact guests who have chosen to hear from your venue, there is a separate, optional guest data agreement. You can accept it any time from your portal. You do not need it to list or take bookings.

3Payment

The diner pays a booking fee. Your share of that fee is set out in your listing and paid through Stripe when the diner books. If you are not yet connected to Stripe, we hold your share and pay it by BACS at month end until you are.

4Ending the agreement

You may end this agreement at any time by emailing us, and bookings already made are still honoured. Halfseat may end it with 30 days' notice by email. If you use booking details outside these terms we may suspend or remove your listing immediately.

5General

Nothing in these terms limits either side's liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
